US Delegation to TechCrunch Disrupt and Silicon Valley Exploration Trip, 18-22 Sept, 2017, San Francisco, US

This September, we have prepared an exciting delegation to Silicon Valley. Delving into the start-up ecosystem in Silicon Valley, you will join with us in the TechCrunch Disrupt event at Pier 48 in San Francisco, visit venture capital firm and the trending star technology company with a Silicon Valley consultant, and have a joint visit with the CUPP delegation to the accelerators and innovation labs in the Valley.


This start-up delegation package includes all the activities above from 18-22 September and cost HKD10,000-# as a Cyberport package* .


#The cost is eligible to be reimbursed from Cyberport Incubation Programme. Please contact Entrepreneurs Team for further details.

*Cyberport package DOES NOT include the visa fee, insurance, flight tickets and accommodation in San Francisco. Delegates are required to arrange at their own cost.


Below is a quick glimpse of the delegation package:


1.    18-20 Sept – “TechCrunch Disrupt 2017”: Cyberport will join the event in the Hong Kong Pavilion together with HKSTP and Invest Hong Kong. Each start-up has 2 tickets for the members of the start-up. Start-ups will be doing rotation of the exhibition each day, which means each start-up will have an exhibition table for one day while delegates can meet more people and have more exposure on the other two days. Participating start-ups are entitled to join the CrunchMatch - an investors – start-ups matching programme. Successful applicants will be invited to attend a briefing session and to draw lots to determine which day you are going to hold the booth.


2.    21 Sept – Hong Kong Goes Silicon Valley” Day: The programme will take place within the heart of the Silicon Valley ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship. The purpose of this programme is to help the delegates understand more about how the ecosystem works and also the opportunities there; to establish contacts for future exchange and possible future collaboration. Programme will include visiting VC firms accelerators and trending technology companies. This programme will be delivered by a local consultant in Silicon Valley. (The content of the programme is to be finalised.)


3.    22 Sept – Joint CUPP Delegation”: This day will be a joint delegation with Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP). The content includes visits to Wells Fargo Startup (Fintech) Accelerator, NASDAQ Entrepreneurial Center, Citi Innovation Labs and Visa Innovation Center. Interaction and synergy will be created between the TechCrunch SF and CUPP delegations.

2.    Send a crossed cheque with a copy of the reply slip to Units 1102-04, Level 11, Cyberport 2, 100 Cyberport Road, Hong Kong (Attn: Shan Chan / Henry Fan) by 15 August 2017; uncompleted application with insufficient information provided or without the cheque would not be accepted. 

*Crossed cheque should be made payable to “Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited”
